This was way too sudden and uncalled for. It was all I could think about on the flight back home to Singapore. Even barely acquaintances, I was crushed to know such news. I cannot imagine how devastated and torn friends and family of Aloysius must have felt. The only consolation is that he is now free of all the pain from that unfortunate accident.
I am still reeling from shock, I’m sure many others are as well. Life is precious, and we don’t need lives lost to demonstrate that. Treasure the ones who truly matter, tell them, show them, and make sure they know.
Rest in peace, Aloysius. You are, truly, one in a million.
